Default Help with launch?

There's a good chance i'll run my almost stock 93 Si (AEM CAI) at the track this friday. I'm gonna practice my launch a couple times this week before i go since this'll be my first time running my car. Anyone got any advice on where/how to launch? Keep it at 3500, ease into the gas without punching it until you get traction then punch it? that sound about right? any help is good.

ur car is VERY torquey... i say launch it at 2k and punch it immediately... u'll be off faster than if u were to gain traction at 3500 and THEN punch it.... but dont launch high unless u have some sort of slick tires..

if you can figure out the secret to a perfect launch, then you've got eveyones nuts, including pro-racers. practice practice practice go to the track and try different things, and see what happens, and what works best.

so true... get to know ur car.... my friend who's a very bad driver hit 16.3 with his integra ls, and my other friend who is supposedly a VERY good driver on and has a hatch hit 16.9 with the same ls...... just get to know ur car and keep trying...but as i said earlier, u wont be able to launch at a high rpm and i'm saying that from experience with my Si....
