help i have a crazy idle problem!
idle bounces crazy. 98 h22 wired up to obd1. its swapped in a civic. no problems before this.
ok so heres what i've done so far.
-tps was fine but i checked it anyway. the .5 to 4.5 reading was fine.
-iac...i cleaned it and even swapped it out with a known working one. no change
-i have zero codes on the ecu
-sprayed soapy water trying to find a vac leak on anything. i got nothing
-changed throttle body gasket since i took it off and it broke. the rest of the gaskets were fine but i changed them anyway.
i wasnt doing anything special before this happened. i was just driving and when i came to a stop at a light, it revved itself over and over and over. i was hoping it'd be one of those intermittent problems...but hell i cant figure out what is wrong!
any help would be appreciated

A lot of swap job problems are caused by the grounds not being good enough, check them all real good with a meter if necessary for good consistent ground contact.
well i checked'em all and the grounds were good. they were never a problem and i checked'em anyway. theyre good. thanks for the suggestion though
anyone else?
anyone else?
sweet! found out the problem from values!
i had to block off my fast idle valve. its under the throttle body and has heater hoses that run through it. i was told to just put a piece or cardboard or something to block off the air. and presto...it was fixed.
i cant believe i replaced all that crap. i didnt even know about the valve. but for anyone else who doesnt know...here it is so you can search for it
