Default Help.Help.Help.Help

I got a 97 prelude and just bought a used 2000 prelude stock CD player
problem is it don't fit the plug. the 97 model plug is smaller and the 99 and up is bigger. I went to honda dealer and they don't sell the wirer harness alone, must sell complete with cd player. I also went to couple sound system shops and they don't make stock wirings. what should i do"? please help or if you have stock wire for 99 and up prelude that you don't used, please sell it to me. thanks

The 2000 and 2001 Preludes use the same head unit plug as 98-02 Accords IIRC.

go to circuit city and have them order you a 71-1721 or a CC-1721 from Metra. Will run you about $15, and then get the 70-1720 you need for your car. This way you don't have to guess any wire colors at all, they are all already color coded for you. The 71/CC-1721 goes into the 2001 radio, and the 70-1720 plugs into your car's harness

Oh, hope you have the radio code also!
