help with brake install
ok, here's the situation. try to bear with me. installing a rotor and replacing the pads isn't brain surgery. it should be plain and simple. but here's the thing. i had the brake caliper off and had the new pads in there. then when i left for a bathroom break, my buddy depressed the brake pedal causing the brake piston to compress so that the pads were pressed against each other.
the cylinder came out farther than it ever should have and we couldn't get it to separate. finally i got them apart and continued with the installation after brake fluid spilled from the caliper itself, which as far as i'm concerned isn't supposed to happen. got the caliper on the rotor and everything else put back in place. now the caliper is binding against the rotor when i drive so even when i'm not on the brake and coasting in neutral, the car has a tendency to slow faster than it should. and when i do press on the brake, it pulls hard to the right. you follow so far? so obviously i'm getting more brake pressure on my FR brakes.
anyway, i called up a honda "specialist" who says i have to rebuild the entire caliper and replace the seals. so i go to the honda dealership, and they don't have a seal kit, nor are they available. . and i asked them if they have a rebuild kit, they don't have that either. they tell me i have to replace the entire caliper and rebleed the brakes. not sure who to believe coz i've dealt with this honda "specialist" many times before and up to now, he's been pretty reliable.
so, my question is, is the dealer tryin to take me for a fool? do i have to replace the whole caliper? or is there a rebuild kit available to have the caliper rebuilt?
sorry for the long post, but any help is appreciated.

Chances are the brake caliper piston popped out from its bore. You forced it back in, damaging its seal. You're screwed. Rebuilding a caliper takes time, and you'll have to carefully examine its parts, or else the rebuild will be a complete waste of time.
Your easiest route: Go out to your local parts store and buy unloaded calipers (they come without brake pads.) Get both of them.
I don't know if your're into this, but usually when you buy rebuilt calipers they're really clean. Now would be the perfect opportunity for you to paint your calipers.
Good luck & have fun.
