Hello everyone
My name is Brian,
Im new here. I live in Las Vegas Nevada. Im just turning 15 here in a month or so. I've been obsessed with 4th generation preludes ever since I was 10 year old. Im getting closer to getting a car. About 9 more months, Im trying to convince my parents to buy me it for my first car. Any idea how much honda in good shape will cost in about a year? Any tips on what I can do now? Thanks for the help guys. Glad to have finaly found a forum for my favorite car.
-Brian aka BDM
btw - How do you become a honda-tech member? And when do I get a custom title/avatar?

Whaddup lil man! Good luck on finding a good lude! My advice is to be patient looking!! Every day you look... you will find one you think you just have to have. If you be patient and look everywhere, you will most likely find exactly what you are looking for at a great price. Expect to pay between 5g's and 9g's, depending on year and condition. My advice is to definately find one with a H22 DOHC VTEC. Good Luck!!
Thanks for the info man
Im not sure what color I want yet or how which model (S Si Vtec ect) There are alot of nice hondas here in vegas
I was expecting about that price range. I started saving my money. I should have around $500 saved by this december. Its not alot but like I said, my parents should be able to help me out. I'd love to get some euro tail lights and a nice body kit. I still have alot of time though, and alot of things to think about....

if i were you id start saving money for a car now while convincing your parents to buy you one. that way you either have money to buy the car yourself, or have mod money when your parents buy it for you. you cant lose.

Work some overtime and save all your money. Beg your parents to get it for you, I would get the Vtec model over the Si. But both are good. Hopefully youll have some money to play with when you get it. Welcome and good luck

You will love your visit here at H-T! And my advice to you when buying a Prelude...Don't make the mistake like I did and buy a non-VTEC lude that is also an automatic! You will regret it, trust me! In general, all Hondas tend to hold a high value. You can never go wrong when buying a Honda, unless your name is Jinna. It's good to see that you have interest in the Prelude and at such a young age. Buying a Prelude should be the best day of your life. You should have seen my face when I crawled into Honda and found my car. When you do get your car, if it is being privately sold, run a CARFAX. Definitely buy a 4th generation with low mileage, make sure that oil has been changed quite often. Try to find a car where there have not been too many previous owners and it's even better if they were non-smokers. I guess that's some basic information you would need to know when finding a good car. Hope this helps and I look forward to seeing you around the board. Good luck on finding the right car for you!
I used to want a MR2 turbo when I was 15... in fact I wanted one even when I was driving my 4th gen vtec, but when I wrecked it in Dec., I had an opportunity to rebuild her, or buy a MR2 turbo, guess what, I chose to rebuild because I've fallen in love with ludes. Get a manual transmission man, and get a vtec, (I'd choose the blue green metallic color teal too) i guarantee you'll love it.
i just got a 93 vtec about a two weeks ago and i love it, it is quick and it handles good for a stock car. If you can afford it definitaly get the vtec. I've been savin for a while and i got my car for 5,000. I had money left over, and with that i got jdm black housing headlights, aem cai and an n1 cat back. good luck with your lude
Yea i wish my parents bought me a VTEC prelude but the Si nonVTEC is not all that slow either. Just keep an eye out for better deals on preludes, i had to drive 1200 miles just to get mine for really cheap.
