So my head lights randomly turn off while I'm driving sometimes. This usually occurs if I drive the car a lot during the day(which is often) and they turn off about midway on my journey to work(graveyard shift). Sometime they'll come back on if i drive on the bumpy crap in the middle of the lane, not often do they come back though. But when i leave for work they're fully functional, no problems until maybe two days later on my journey to work again. And another thing, whenever i flick the brights on it just completly turns the headlights off NO MATTER WHAT! This is an issue because I WORK NIGHTS!!!

 

check your headlight relay, check for grounds, or it could be the steering wheel switch itself.

 

More than likely a loose connection somewhere, you need to check over every connection starting with the headlights themselves working back to the switch. Since both are doing it at the same time chances are it's in a place before the circuit branches in 2.
