What is the difference between ceramic, stainless steel and chrome headers?

 

The coating on it. Stainless "looks better" but changes colors under heat. (Which I like, but some people don't.) Ceramic stays the same color longer, has that grey color, and is a little more durable supposedly. Chrome, is all show. I wouldn't chrome anything under my hood.. then again, I wouldn't chrome anything on my car, but this is all coming from a man who still has clears for some reason.

 

yea.. but... if chrome is for all show.. how come it costs less than ceramic?

 

cause Chrome sucks. Trust me, a chrome plated header would last about 60 seconds on a race track. well, maybe longer, but you get the idea.

 

ok kool.. so your point is.. get the ceramic? yea? what would you go with?

Chrome does suck! Man everytime I hear someone say like "man I wanna chrome this and that blah blah" I'm like, "Hey man thats real cool!"
