I have an H23 non vtec engine. I have been looking for headers for awhile and most headers that are made for my car are vtec like megan racing for example. Megan Racing Stainless Steel Header: Honda Prelude Si H23 1992-1996 this website has them and mentions noting about them being vtec but if you look the part number up on megans website it says they are made for vtec. basically im asking what is the differance between vtec and non vtec, how will it effect the way my car runs, and can i use vtec headers for a non vtec application

 

The VTEC head has different port spacing, you cannot use a VTEC headeR on a non-VTEC car, or vice-versa.

 

My next question is can i use H22 headers cause i have read on one fourm that some guy said that h22 headers would fit an h23

 

H22 headers does not fit H23 non vtec. There is an H23Avtec which has the same head as an H22 but a slightly different bottom end. You can use an h22 header on an H23Avtec. You however do not have an H23Avtec, so you cannot.
