Default header modification update ...

well as you all know, DC header sucks *** the way it is. But i had it modified this past friday with a 2.5" from the collector and it made the biggest difference in midrange to high end power. I couldnt believe it.

Also to test it out, my friend has a base with just a flywheel, intake, and a high flow cat and he always used to pull me instantly. Now were head up till 70 and then i start pullin on him !! Were both excellent drivers, we even switched cars to see if it was the driver, but no the same thing. My friend was surprised.

Who says a DC header is a POS? I believe not....

I currently have:

Apexi world sport with a carsound high flow cat.
Dc header (modified) (unbelievable gains)
aem pullies
aem short ram

well V8's are piles of Sh*t until you go with nice rods, balanced bottom end, higher compression and ported heads and fuel injection and hearders and then spray NOS... the point is that DC headers are POS's out of the box. Not eveybody is all about spending $300 on something that they have to chop up and make better.

Couldnt have said it better myself...

for a low budget mod it'll help some but theres still so many downsides to the DC header as a whole, not just the collector diameter...

The pea shooter primaries arent very useful, the 4-2 transition leaves much to be desired, etc, etc...

I mean, if you have the DC already than why not, but as a save all for the average joe looking for a good performance header... there are better options

Prospeed/AN-R, Imagine Engineering, Hotshot, etc...

sounds good..i didnt remove the cat because i didn't want that raspy honda sound that it would make.

also make sure your flexpipe is the same size as all your piping from the collector back ....If your 2.5" use it all t he way back...and thats where i noticed it the most...i will have dyno graphs posted within the next few weeks to show how much i gained overall...

goodluck

I been thinking about doing that, but may be I'll go a step further and do it with a greddy header....I will like to see the dyno too first.

And with that carsound high flow cat did you pass smog here in Cali?
