Ok, simple enough, the car is acting a fool when I put it into reverse. It only does it every once in a while.

When I put the clutch in, then shift to reverse, it does not seem to catch. I feel like it is grinding to get into place. This is before I even hit the gas to actually reverse.

Then when I put it into reverse and I thought it caught. I hit the gas to reverse and I go maybe 2-3 feet, then it kicks the stick outta reverse and back into neutral!!! I fiddled with it a bit, pumping the clutch, shutting the car off, then starting it again but the same thing occurred.

Then all of a sudden it catches! I am thinking good, maybe just a glitch?! Well guess what? After I reverse to my destination, I go to throw it in first. Well guess what? It doesn't budge. It is stuck. I have to actually stall the thing to get it outta reverse.

has anyone had this problem before? If so can you please tell me what might be happening?!

Oh and guess what, it isn't doing it anymore! It stopped, but I am kinda worried about what it could be!

Try going into 2nd/4th gear first, before going into reverse.

 

Hmmm, what would that do exactly? Just curious, I am really new at this, and I hope I do not have a faulty Lude!
