H22 starter installation HELP!!
Ok, here is the deal. My starter went on me. I went to honda and got a remanufactured one. When I put it in, I got a a clicking sound and the engin did not turn over. The battery was 5 years old so I figured it was dead after sitting for a few months before I replaced the starter. So I go out, get a brand new battery and put it in. Now I still get the same clicking noise and the engin does not turn over. I checked the one electrical connection to the starter. Am I missing anything? I get power to the dasj and other systems. Just will not crank at all. Any ideas?
When you take out the starter, just replace it as normal. Anytime you hear a clicking sound - its the starter solenoid. You won't have to worry about the flywheel or anything. make sure you have it tight.
Thanks
The problem is the new starter is in already and I am still hearing the cliking noise. Is there a way I have not hooked the starter up correctly? Also, I just noticed that my power door locks are not working when the car is not on but the lights on the dash board light up. Does one have to do with the other??
