h22 question
i just bought a 93 prelude si...it has an h22a1 in it...i was wondering if that is what they come with or did somebody swap it...if so is it possible to use the stock harness and computer with the swap or would they have to of switched them out also...some help would be great thanks
H22A1 is a US motor, and 93 was the first year they started putting them in. If you're still unsure, post the VIN and we can tell you what it came with from the factory.
Yeah, I think your right.
SR-V in Canada didn't come out till 96 I believe, so having an SI with v-tec should not be pissible in a 93 unless it was swapped (thats what I think anyway, not 100% sure though)

no the 93 was an si vtec if the vin says bb4 instead of bb2 the h22 came in the motor man i wish half u folks would do some research b4 u just say what ever u feel like
Another correction for you guys, if it is a U.S. Vtec model, the Vin starts with BB1, not BB4, thats the JDM car, and BB2 is the Si with the H23A1. Inside the drivers door there should be a tag on the back sill, says "trim level" it should say which level it was originally, S, Si, or Si-VTEC, and the paint code will be there as well!
And either the car was swapped or came with the engine originally, but the wiring harness is identical except for the vtec wiring, which is a whopping 3 wires. The Ecu should be a P13, unless someone put something else in the car.
