Default H22 overheating at idle

i swapped my h22a1 from my prelude and it was working fine when it was in lude now its in civic hatch and its overheating at idle, and fan doesnt turn on, thermostat, water pump was changed when i pulled the motor out, and my lower hose is always cold, i tried bleeding the system also and still get cold air from heather...even tried putting paper clip for fan switch to run fan all the time and car still over heats at idle
new water pump
new thermostat
tried different fan switch from jdm motor i have
tried different rad caps

the only thing i eliminated from that motor is first water sensor the one that reads temp when coolant flows in, its located at top rad hose/block(top entered for water) jdm motors dont have that sensor there so i didnt wire one up. Could that be the problem? if so why doesnt jdm motor have it.

what could it be??

you sure you installed the thermostat correctly??? if the lower hose is not getting warm then the water is not getting past the thermostat. another question i have for you is, what ECU are you using? any CEL's? i have a jdm h22 and the only water temp sensor i believe there is would be on the cylinder head below the distributor. i would check the wiring to the fan switch to make sure it has power going to the switch. or check the relay to the fan

That sounds like the problem to me, but I admit that I couldn't really follow your description.

Does the car overheat without the Thermostat installed??
(not trying to call you out or anything) It kind of sounds like the thermostat is being installed upside down.

still have an air pocket, make sure to have the heater control valve open(heat on) while bleeding, and that radiator is too small for a h22

i havent seen any h22 swaps in civics personally but if you think about it wouldnt the h22 flow to fast for that small of a radiator to cool properly, not calling you out just trying to help

the water flow is based on rpm output so i dont think the flow is a concern here. i've always used integra radiators because the water necks match up with the outlets on the h22s. a civic radiator off of a d-series would probably not even work since they use smaller water necks. h22s with closed decks may not ( dont quote me on this one) carry as much water/coolant as the newer h22s with larger water jackets. maybe thats what you were getting at
