Hi
I just got my head back from the shop(Complete rebuild).
Now I have a question about the headgasket. I will be ordering a Headgasket really soon, along with some ARP Headstuds. Anyhow they come in 8 different thicknesses, .027, .030, .040, .054, .067, .078, .098 .120 being the thickest I won't want that one. But I want to get a higher compression but worried about piston to valve contact if its to thin? Anyone know, or have any exprienece with the Cometic headgaskets for the H22, since spoon discontinued the H22 ones? Consider I plan on staying N/A for a while what type of Compression Ratio would I be looking at with a stock h22 with the thinnest Headgasket? Also I'm waiting on EF-1 to release thier H-series cams as well, if they ever come out
.
Anyhow if you have any advice, please let me know
Thanks for your time
btw, here's some pics

Reason for rebuild.

here is a nice link on calculating CR on h22 engines with stock internals and 11:1 or 10:1 CR.

milling the head/decking the block is the same as applying a thinner head gasket. only one problem though, i don't know the stock gasket thickness but i am sure someone knows that off the top of their head. hope this will help.
