good idea??
ok is this a good plan, ok first i'm probably enlisting in the air force and during the middle to end of my enlistment i want to get a new car, i have a civic ex coupe right now 5 speed no mods but nice first car to learn driving techniques and what not, ok hear it is, i would like or i am thinking of getting a 4th gen lude h22a powered, building the internals of the engine and all and turbo, plus great suspension and all a daily driver that kicks butt, because i'll have the money coming threw from the air force, and i don't think i want to keep my civic to mod up, it would be cool to have a civic h22a powered, but i just want something with better styling so do you think i could run good times and do you think this is a good idea, i want to stay with hondas, i was think 240sx sr20det powered, but i think i want to stay with the hondas, sorry this is long, but what do you guys think and what are your guys ideas?
I personally think that preludes are great cars. With the right amount of money limits are endless. The h22 is a great motor to build on imo, but the ludes are kinda heavy. One thing is for sure though, it will definently be an upgrade from your ex
Thanks guys, well does anyone know if they can change the tach on the 4th gen lude, and if you did do you have any pics of it, i haven't drove one but i don't think i like the set up i like the 97-98 tachs, well i got to go to class ,thanks for all your help, what times do you think a h22a turbo will bring out, thanks guys

ok then shakes, just give me est.. man is that to hard to ask for, normal mods for a h22a, new cam shafts, cam gears, 3/12 exhaust, turbo, turbo interal cooler or whatever, a blow off value, some fuel pump stuff, come on ok what is a set up for 12 to 13's on daily driving psi, and only 16 inch wheels nothing heavier then stock

you want to run 12-13 your gonna want to rebuild your internals. you are gonna have to run new sleeves for forged pistons becasue of the FRM. beucase the stock internals would only be able to take up to about 8-9psi. that wont get you 12-13 i doubt it will.

i agree... i think a stock h22 runs high 14's if im not mistaken. im guessing with a nice turbo you can run 12-13.... the question is for how long???? your going to need your internals rebuilt. dont just slap a turbo on a car and expect those times. it take lots of money and time to build a 12 sec car....
f-max kit (with lower comp head gasket and MF2) , turboXS boost controller, unorth pullies, ACT 6 puck unsprung with Fydenza (spelling), slicks help alot of course.. that will get you into the 13's easy, and add on an NX fogger kit and you'll drop to the 13.0 mark (upgraded fuel pump helps out alot too). it now has a T3/04E in place of the B.. spools much better. See what we can hit now! (BTW> street driven for close to a year now since intial turbo install and still going fine... except for a head gasket leak that is starting to form)
