Getting rid of CEL
My stupid Check Engine light is on again. I had it checked at Autozone, came up as transaxle clutch #2 slip. Nothing is wrong with the transmission. It shifts crisply using tiptronic or full auto, driving normal or hard driving, can go from 3rd to 2nd manually from higher rpm's in 3rd dropping right into 62-6400 rpms in 2nd, no issues.
2nd I took it to Honda for an unrelated problem. Still, only code is the trans code. The tech said he "cleared" it but it came back on driving home from the dealer. So I went to Autozone again. Same thing, same and only code. Also the Honda tech drove the car 9 miles. He said it's a "most likely a sensor" in the transmission. I don't know what that means. A sensor "thinks" there is something wrong when there is not?
I want to get rid of this GD CEL. Any way to do it? I really don't want to start messing with a perfectly operating drivetrain with 94K on it.
