Ok guys, I have BA8 Prelude. Originally it had an F22A with an Auto in it.
recently I have transplanted a JDM H22A with a M2B4 gearbox. Now all the mounts line up as expected, except the damn gearbox one. If you sight the hole that the large bolt goes through, the actual gearbox mount is closer to the inner skirt about 20mm, i measured against my mates VTiR and the chassis mount seems to be 20mm shorter, which would account for this. So am i going mad because i thought all the BA8/BB4's had the same chassis mounts, just the inserts and brackets were different for the gearbox side. Any pointers? Looks like i may have to unpic the spotwelds on the mount and weld in a VTiR mount.

thats just how it is dude, automatic preludes' transmission mount was a bit different, i suggest you use a large prybar to move the bolt hole to line up, then have someone with a hammer to pound the bolt through as soon as you get it to line up
it actually ends up being an advantage though, the stretch on it effectively makes the mount harder, and you lose less torque to engine movement
good luck with it, post up if you have more questions, i have dealt with this plenty....

thanks dude! Glad someone has had this problem before, should be amended to the writeups on here on doing swaps. At least i dont have to go mental with the spot welder now!
