Default Fox Race headers

If you're thinking getting custom made headers for a Prelude from Fox Race, you might wanna read this.
After seeing this thread; https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1816676
I thought what a great oportunity to get a custom header for a $500 and test the header afterwards.
And this is what I got stuck with

As you can see it took me quite a long time to fit it, after removing the motor mount, grinding aluminium notch on the block and about an inch off the crossmember. The O2 bung was placed directly to the axle so I had to weld another one on. Didn't even get to test it because after all this work I start the car and it was leaking a lot from his "special connection".
He told me the clearence issue is normal on any race headers and that I have to modify or even take the crossmember out, which as you all know is not an option on 4th gen lude.
So much for mechanical engineering and fluid dynamics.

And I paid extra for the flexpipe. He also told me that his next header will be better,
yeah that's gonna solve my problem!!

Please be sure to post this information in the other forum. Everyone should learn from this. The fact that it is his first header he ever built. He should have made you another one.

And to tell you the truth I am not sure that this is going to perform better then a dc with a modified collector.

I hope everything get resolved and I hope this guy doesn't make any money off learning and screwing people over.

He is building a shitty reputation before he ever builds his second header.

If you take a quick look you'll notice that the collector isn't a merge collector, its a crappy stamp type one ...or at least thats how it loooks.....

what a POS

omg that thing looks like a pratice piece from a weilding class, dont know which is worse, you for buying a "prototype" that really is a pratice weilding piece or Prototurd, or him for making that frankenstein looking unequal butcher job of a header. Hope he gets sued by the real Fox racing for trademark infringement.

I was stupid and didn't do no research, I thought he did headers already for B16 but he just sell those on his website. If I knew he's trying to make his first I would never send him any money. I should have dyno it but I was so pissed off, I didn't think.
Also he just contact me and trying to resolve this issue.

Its not that I think it looks like ****. its that I don't think it will perform. Plus the fact that he sold his first header ever made by him. He should have honed his skills before selling it and what I think is ripping someone off.

and you should have defiantly let him resolve the issue before putting this up. But I understand the frustration.
