Me and a friend are trying to figure out what to do first to his 97 Prelude. What are the first 3 things u would do to it if it were yours?

intake, exhaust, headers, vafc, high flow cat, drop, it all depends what you wanna do with the prelude
race, show, etc.

light weight wheels, nice set of coil overs, and strut bars. Get a good base then start on the power.

It all depends upon what you are going for. Do you want more speed for the strip? Do you want more handling for the track? Do you want looks? Do you want sound? Your question is going to have different answers from everybody. I personally do autocross. The first three things I did were buy struts, springs, and lighter rims with tires.

If you want speed, how do you want to get it? There are many things you can do for easy power gains. Cold air intake, stay with stock headers(we have very good stock headers) unless you're willing to spend about $700+ for headers worth getting. You can also make your car lighter. We have VERY heavy hoods. You can get a cf hood. You can get lighter seats, lighter wheels...depending on how serious you are about speed, if you want speed, there are MANY things you can do to shave weight from the car.

I'm not much about adding to the looks of a car. I love the 97+ body, and that's good enough to me if everything is CLEAN. Same goes for sound.

If you want speed and you don't mind getting rid of some of the nicer things about the prelude, let me know. I've dropped 300lbs off of my prelude, and I'm still going. I personally LOVE the way the car sounds all the time. I don't mind it being louder. You might want a quieter car.

Wow...where do I begin? In the engine bay, I took out EVERYTHING with the a/c. I took out power steering, which I love....you get a lot more feedback on the track. Lighter wheels....The exhaust I have is lighter than stock. I haven't bought seats yet but will sometime. ALL sound insulation is gone; I only have carpet, and yes, I like it a lot. My atts unit is gone since I did a motor swap. The passenger airbag is probably going to be taken out soon. The rest of the a/c stuff in the dash will be taken out. I'm still debating on a carbon fiber trunk; I haven't seen one on a 97+ prelude yet. Any bracket that was in the engine bay that could be taken out was. I moved wiring harnesses to take whatever I could out. I'm about to take out ABS. It will mostly be for the track, but it is another way you can shave weight.

Most of this is pretty extreme if you want a comfortable everyday driver. My car is a daily driver. I really enjoy driving it, but I don't recommend it for most people.
