in the 89 lude what type of engine is in the si? i think its B-somthing not sure any info will help thanks.
also if it is a B series will it fit in the 92-95hatches?or is the a mounting kit needed? thanks

 

Anything will fit in any car with the right amount of money. But no with the standard mount kits on the market it will not work. The motor in those ludes is kind of a "bastard" honda motor that you cant do much work wtih (at leat with off the shelf type componets). I want to say it has a code of b20 something. It is not related to the other more used "b" motors such as the b16 Civic, b18 Teg and b20z CRV.

 

The engine is a b20 but the displacement is actually 2.1 not 2.0 if it is a si model, u can swap it into a hatch but with a motor mount kit from has sport or place racing.

2.0 Si (1958cc) - b20a5 - 135HP/127lb.tq
2.1 Si (2056cc) - b21a1 - 140 Hp/135lb.tq

 

thanks guys for the info. it helped out....to bad i was hoping the it could be a cheap b20vtec but guess i will have to just spend the money and get a real b20
