F20A sohc???
I posted on the accord forum cause that is what it is going in, but was told to ask you guys....I just bought an F20A sohc for a great price, but I would like to know any info (cause I can't find any on the net..) about the specs of the sohc version. I would like to know the hp, and torque...and if I will need anything to make the swap from that one (with an auto tranny attatched) to my 94 accord lx with a five speed. Thanks in advance...if anyone wants to help...
ill buy that motor off of you.. please!!
88mm stroke. 85 bore
about 135 HP,
oh man the thing si would do for the crank and rods in that motor.
i can see it now,.. f20 bottom end with h22 head.. mmmmm

So yer tellin me there's a chance.....YEAHHHH!
This is a SINGLE OVER HEAD CAM engine, how can the H22 head fit on that?
And you're telling me it's about 135 ponies? If the H22 head doesn't work, then what about the SOHC 2.2 VTEC head? I know its only a small amount of HP, but would it be worth it...also what about the bore and stroke of H22 pistons and rods...would they work? Intake mani, throttle body? All that stuff...what do you think?
By the way thanks a million for the info...keep it comin if you can.

yeah this is why i was asking for pictures of the rods, im guessing that the f20b rods are better designed for the higher revs, but i can't confirm this without pictures of the f20a rods. i have seen the f20b rods and they are NICE!. and IIRC the f20b also has iron sleeves?

Yeah I think it does too, which is why it has an 85 mm bore.

keep in mind kiddies that is a soch motor and that rev limit is probably due to flow limitations of the head and limitations of the valve and cams.
the rods and rod bolts will really determine what keeps the f20a with a dohc head from reving. and i need pics damn it! lol
