This was just asked in the Accord forum. You could do a search but I'll go ahead and tell you. It won't line up correctly and requires heavy modification. It has been done but trust me, you don't want to do it.

It won't line up correctly and requires heavy modification. It has been done but trust me, you don't want to do it.

sohc to dohc? i dont think so.....ur missing a whole set of cams. who the hell would want to do that in the first place? drop the whole damn engine before you even attempt asking that question in a reptuable shop....

How the hell do you go from a SOHC F22a motor and slap on an H22a DOHC head? 
NO ONE HAS DONE THIS BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SWAP HEADS FROM DIFFERENT MOTOR FAMILIES! The Accord is a SOHC F22. The Prelude is DOHC H22. Two totally different engine families.
There HAS been an H23a1/H22a head frankenstein, but I don't know of any that lasts long enough to warrant such an investment.

will it not work because you're trying to put an H series head on an F series block?
Or is it because you're putting a DOHC vtec head on an SOHC Block?
