engine seal
i have a 92 prelude si with a jdm h23..i blew one of the seals in the crank case.. i think it was the mail seal..anyone ever change one?? and how hard was it?..thanks
JDM h23 meaning "real h23 vtec"? Or jdm h23 meaning "h23 i found off ebay"?
If it's the rear main seal leaking, remove your flywheel cover and inspect for oil in the tranny housing and between the flywheel and block. You can also pull the rubber flywheel plug and there could possibly be oil residue on that as well.
As far as replacing it, it's a bitch. You have to drop the tranny. Have fun.
If it's the front main seal, it's pretty much like replacing a timing belt except you have to remove all of the gears from the crank.
