I've asked the same question here at HT and got no where... maybe there are no reputable builders in the DC Metro area... mgags7 what's up with rlz engineering?? know what they are capable of and what prices to expect, this is all I get with their website: http://www.hondaraceengines.com/

Thanks for the details 98vtec I'm happy he knows what the hell he is doing and that he made you aware of that fact 98vtec, but I'm looking for a bit more info.

Anyone know of a closer place, or have more info than the post before on RLZ???? Idea of the cost and quality of their work????

I live in NoVA as well, and was referred to Allied Industrial Machine....small hole in the wall place in Falls Church. Prices seem real good, especially since I am using sleeves, the crank needs to be turned and he is using the balance shaft removal kit.

Ask for Russell

all you'll really need is a torque wrench and a good socket set. if you're looking to get it "BUILT" check out Brauning Motorsports.

Dude is pretty cheesy in the video, but there is DVD I bought off EBAY how to rebuild a VTEC engine....I watched the whole thing and although he only rebuilt a SOCH VTEC engine, it seemed really easy. I was able to dismantle the block using just the service manual...and I have very little mechnical experience. This video is definitely helpful and easy to follow. He tells you the torque specs and sequences (where needed)...

Seems all you need is a good torque wrench and socket set....along with a Helms, this video might be all you need to do yourself. was $20 bucks off ebay...will sell you mine since I don't need it anymore, if you are interested? If I could rebuild myself, this was the best $20 I spent on ebay! I could definitely see saving a lot of $$$ not having someone else reebuild for you.
