1993 Prelude S f22a1 5 speed.

I failed my idle emissions,

Idle limit - 400 HC - 3.00 CO - > 6 CO + CO2 - N/A O2 - N/A RPM

My results. 458 hc 5.23 co 17.03 co+co2 0.1 o2 740 rpm

Failed the HC AND the CO.

Today I put in seafoam through the vacuum line, stp gas treatment with $5 of premium gas and reset the ECU.

Should that fix my emissions?

 

Clean the egr, also check ur ignition timing, a lot of cars fail due to incorrect ignition timing

 

i had this problem in my 98 prelude the water temp sensor on the head went back its the sensor on the passenger side in the middle of 3

 

Dude same thing I was going through. They suggested a valve adjustment to get everything in correct running order and that ended up enabling me to pass!
