Default electrical problems

i finally finished my new front end and installed the headlights today. headlights and fogs work but the little city lights dont turn on. neither do my tail lights, but my brake lights work and so do my turning signals and reverse. also my dash doesnt turn on but all the little things lights the check engine lights and seatbelt and e-brake are on. i checked the fuses and didnt find anything wrong. How can i fix this? is it a fuse or a ground wire or what? Also, behind the drivers side headlight where the headlight wires come from theres a plug that i dont know where it connects to. maybe this is the answer to the problem but i can find where it connects to. and the plug only exist on the drivers side. any help? thanks

You check the fuses both under the hood and inside the interior fuse box?

Your whole parking light circuit is blown.

thanks. i found that the tailight fuse keeps blowing right away. i have a short circuit somewhere. they told me it must be a positive wire touching ground. same thing happened to my friends hatch and they told him the same. i just need to find that wire and i dont see it.

Yep, I had a friend with the same problem, fixed his. He had some funky wiring for some fog lights up front, good luck finding yours.

so the positive wire thats touching ground causing the short circuit can be from anywhere, like fogs etc? becuase my fogs and headlights work. its just my taillights, dash, and corner light insisde the headlight that arnt working. i do have sidemarkers wired up to those little corner lights . can it just be that those wires are touching metal? i hate electricity. any help would do. thanks

No, the positive wire that is shorting out to ground has to be in this circuit, or else it would be blowing a different fuse.

Do you have anything aftermarket in that lighting system at all? Side markers? Gauges? etc.

I'm willing to bet you just need to check again. Stuff like this always happens in a crashed car.
