Electrical malfunction
Hey guys, as some of you may know, I am putting my car back together after a long period of it being apart. Anyways, the motor isn't in quite yet however I had to test my gauges and what not and I charged the battery and hooked it up however as soon as I did all my lights turned on without me turning them on, my windshield wipers turned on, and my gauges didn't turn on. Any suggestions? I found this very odd personally...Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys and let me know if you have any questions for me that would help you answer my problem...
you need to check all you fuese and check that what ever gauges your putting in you wired everything correctly, first start with what the hell did you change..
where did your lude sit all this time? garage? outdoors? why did you leave is sitting? was there electrical issues b4? did you leave the lights and wipers in the "on" position? have you checked all connections? make sure everything is grounded securely? clean all connections with electrical cleaner. only so much we can help you with unless you give us more details

Okay, well the car was sitting outside for this time, it was sitting because I was waiting for my motor and got interrupted by college (which is 900 miles away) The only new gauge I installed was my boost gauge, and neither that nor my normal gauges will turn on for some reason. Part of the problem I am thinking is that there still isn't a motor so none of the grounds in the engine bay are hooked up or anything, however I still think it weird that all this is happening. Also, all of the fuses that would work these parts are all fine, none blown. any more suggestions? Let me know if you need any more info on my part.

if you wanna check if they work without everything hooked up why not just use battery like you did but run a temporary ground? are they already installed? easy to pull out? either way you can pull em out and just ground and power them to test em or just find where the ground is hooked up in the car and reground is somewhere else to test it
I had everything working just fine about 1 month ago, and the car had been sitting since I tried it yesterday or two days ago. The gauges were grounded properly and everything, which were my original thoughts...
