now ive been thinking..and before i posted ( i changed the original)

i had a short somewhere leading to smoking.. of a ground wire for the apexi rsm..... the wier melted all the way near the ecu, but the black/yellow wire on the ecu looked fine.. I just rewired it, but maybe something is damaged?.. thats why i used another ecu and the same problem occured...

My question is.. instead of using hte factory harness... can i run the ECU grounds.. directly to a ground on the chassis?

you should be able to run the ground directly to the chassis, the harness is just for organization and cleanliness.

have you opening up the ECU? its not gonna mess anything up just by taking it apart and looking inside. there are only a few screws keeping it together. just look for anything that looks burnt or damaged inside.

also, does the motor even turn on or run?

ok tried to run a direct ground.. didn't work

NOW I have a question

WHAT (list) causes the cel to be solid:

Broken ECU (NOT IT, ive tried 2 working ones)
Improper Grounds?
Blown ECU/ACC fuse

What else?!
