Default Dyno sheets?

Anybody have any h22 dynoes besides h22a.org or importbuilders?

Just trying to get a good idea of the power.

TIA.

Here is my baseline Stock plot VS very mildly modded plot. Both runs were done about 1 year apart, but under identical atmospheric conditions on the same DynoJet. (CF = .95 on both runs) My car is a 2000 Base 5spd Prelude.

Stock is stock - 162.8WHP/137.5lb.ft
Modded plot is only Mugen header, Mugen Cat-back, and stock airbox with removed air intake resonator - 173.4WHP/141.3lb.ft (not too bad for just a header and exhaust... )

These two graphs show the same 2 dyno runs. One is SAE corrected power, the 2nd is actual power...

SAE corrected power:

ACTUAL power:

Nice gains on your mods!

I guess I don't understand the difference between the SAE corrected and the 'actual' hp/tq levels?

Actual HP is the power that my car actually put down at the wheels. The SAE correction factor is then applied to the actual results so that you can make more meaningful comparisions between other dyno plots that are also SAE corrected. So in theory, you should be able to comapare other dyno plots done on other dynos at different elevations done under different atmospheric conditions - as long as they are also SAE corrected...

This site explains it better than I could ever hope to:
http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_cf.htm

Here were MY conditions:
2000 Honda Prelude Base 5spd
Run 002 - Mar 21, 2001
Milage:~15,000
Conditions:49.65F, 30.17in.Hg., 0ft.elev, CF=0.95
Mods:None, Mobil1 oil

Run 003 - Nov 21, 2001
Milage:~27,000
Conditions:50.21F, 30.22in.Hg., 0ft.elev, CF=0.95
Mods:Mugen Header, Mugen CatBack, stock airbox, Removed air intake resonator, Mobil1 oil

I'll probably be going back to the same dyno soon. I have some more stuff on there now...

If you wanna see some crazy "Actual HP" numbers you should see the dynos of my Prelude. 189 WHP with I/H/E, shaved flywheel and clutch, on a stock USDM H22A1. If I end up selling the motor and not building it, it would make for quite the "factory freak" engine for someone to pick up

SAE corrected stock numbers....yummy torque

over 100,000 miles on the engine, just an intake

Car runs 14.8 at the track so I'm happy

330whp@14.7psi
320ft/lbs torque

I know its a h23a, but i just wanted to share. Stock ignition fell flat on its face, couldnt run any more boost due to this... Once i put the crane hi-6tr and the ps92 coil i should be able to run 20+psi.

Great looking graphs guys!

On average, do the JDM h22's put down more HP/TQ stock than USDM, or is it about the same? I believe the C/R is higher, isn't it?

They put down more. All JDM H22A's I've seen dyno make at least 180 whp with bolt-ons. Most USDM H22A's are stuck in the 170's with bolt-on's still.

sweet...

While I'm on the h22 subject, Do any of you guys have any pros/cons of the Mugen 11.5:1 Headgasket?

Is that too high on 93 octane gas and a street car? I'm thinking about getting it..but don't really know how safe it would be on a stock internal/93 octane car.

Buddy runs 94 on Arias 11.5 pistons. No problems but he has had his ECU reprogrammed.

aklucsarits: your dyno really shows how restrictive the stock header/exhaust is. Once the engine gets over 6000rpms the stock piping can't handle all that gas!

Hey prospeed I can't see it but what exhaust piping size did you use on that H23VTEC? 2.5". How was the custom header designed? Downpipe size?

How did you manage the Power assisted steering? How much cutting from frame?

it's honda rubber mounts and brackets, the rear engine mount is from a 90-93 integra custom made to bolt to the rear crossmember.

Which stock honda rubber and brackets? Lude? EF?

Is this something you personally fabricated/arranged? Seems like a nice install
