If you had searched the recent posts instead of clogging the boards with yet another RWD thread , you'd notice that someone is currently mounting an RX7 independent rear suspension in his 4th gen:

He chose to go with an LS1 V8 instead of the twin turbo RX7 engine though. He's doing all of the welding/fabrication himself and estimates that he'll get it done for under $10 grand.
