The machine we use at work is very simple. First, we hook a bottle of PS system cleaner into it, and an empty bottle to another end. Then, with the car on, we empty the tank, and fill it with cleaner. Turn the steering wheel lock to lock twice, then empty the tank again, and refill with cleaner. Once the cleaner bottle is empty, we swap it for fresh PS fluid, and follow the same procedure to remove the cleaner and remaining old fluid from the system. If you can get your hands on the cleaner and new fluid jugs (about 2 quarts each) and have a little, hand powered suction pump, you can do it at home

If you're not setup like that though, you can go the less superior way. According to the Helms if I remember correctly; jack the front end up so the tires are off the ground, engine OFF, remove resevoir, put container for fluid under the hoses, turn steering wheel lock to lock until it is empty. Put resevoir back on, fill with fluid, turn lock to lock a few times, add fluid and repeat until proper level.

If you're sort of in a hurry and don't like the way powersteering fluid is very corrosive on paint and everything else like me, you can leave the resevoir on. Suction the fluid out with a tukey baster or vacuum pump while leaving the resevoir on, and do everything else as stated. Probably not going to be anywhere near as clean as the above stated way, but its better than nothing, and if you do it regularly it can't be too bad. I don't use cleaners, because you're only going to be able to get it all out with a machine, so I just use Honda Powersteering Fluid. Don't put anything else in there.
