ok i have a 5th gen and my car is misfiring on all 4 cylinders. ive tried advancing and retarding the distributor but its like it doesnt have the right one on there. because it wont spin at all its on there to where the bolts will go in but its wont spin at all. any help?

 

Take off the cap and check the wires to the ICM. Might have a bad ICM itself.

 

the 5th gen base timing is locked so you cant change it, that is why it won't turn. take your igniter to a decent parts place and they can test it for you.

 

Make sure the wires going to the ICM are also on the terminal all the way.
