Default Difficult 4th gen electrical problem...HELP!

Hey guys,
So the story goes: I am just finishing up a turbo install and went to go turn the car over and it doesn't crank. I first check spark and replace dizzy cap and rotor, then clean all spark plug terminals and replace tube seals due to oil, still no start. Then I move onto fuel, when I turn the key the pump doesn't prime like its supposed to. So I replace all the necessary fuses, that doesn't work, I replace my main relay, that doesn't work, then I rewire my entire pump to the relay, that doesn't work. The only thing that is happening is when we put a voltmeter on the cables/plug to pump the relay clicks. I cannot tell if the actual pump is bad or if the wiring up to the relay is defunked. I really need your help/suggestions because I'm all out. Thanks is advance guys!

well, when you say "the car doesn't crank", that implies that when you turn the key, nothing happens. None of the attempts at fixing it that you listed have anything to do with getting power to the starter to crank the engine.

if the engine IS in fact cranking, then check the following:

internal combustion needs 4 things: Fuel, air, spark and compression.

assuming you don't have a rag stuck in your intake, you have air.
that leaves 3 things...

for compression, we'll assume the spark plugs are installed properly, that the head is torqued down properly, and you have healthy rings.

for fuel, you can take the return line off the tank and put it into a container (coke bottle or something) - when you start cranking, fuel will come out... you can also release the torque on the fuel filter banjo bolt, and fuel should squirt out...

for spark, We'll assume the spark plug wires are in the correct order... check the health of ther coil by putting the coil wire against the intake pipe or something, and looking for an arc when the key is turned (keep your hands away from it...) If you have a timing light, its even better - you can put the timing light on each spark plug wire, and see if the light flashes while you crank...

greyout,
Very sorry about the lack of clarity/mistake. The motor DOES in fact crank, it doesn't actually turn on though. So yes, I checked all my spark, and air should be fine, I will double check the coil today. What I did in fact find out is that the walbro pump that I have may actually need to have more amperage to prime the pump for start than the fuse allows it to. Since the pgm-fi/main relay runs off of a 10amp fuse, I am going to gradually increase the fuse amperage and if that is in fact my problem, I will put in an inline fuse for the pump as well. If anyone else has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! THanks

do you keep blowing the fuse? If not, then the bigger fuse won't help.

Try the stock pump, if you have one (just for the sake of trying to get it to start)

Yes, the fuse blows immediatly after the key is turned the second click(when the pump is supposed to prime)

Well, finally figured it out!! The fuel pump needed more amps to prime than the fuse was allowing it to. I put in a larger fuse and BOOM! It fired right up. Thanks for the help greyout!
