Difference Between Driver and Passenger Side Axles
Soon I'll replace the driver side axle assembly on my 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si 2WS automatic (if I can ever get the nut off). When under the car last week I noticed that the constant velocity joint boots on the passenger side are now cracked.
The online vendors list separate products for the driver and passenger side axles. On the other hand, my Honda service manual doesn't make any distinction. Can I rebuild the driver side axle and use it on the passenger side? What, if any, are the differences?

That might be it. The service manual only shows that both sides have a length of 19.5 inches from the outboard ring to the inboard joint. That doesn't include the splines and threaded end. The dimensions of the outermost parts are not given.
