the SH has 200hp in 99+, all the ludes got what is believed to be a theoretical +5hp in 99. the SH dynos lower than the base though cause the ATTS sucks up power.

ATTS = 80lbs, front suspension, exhaust, +5 hp, oil filter location, color-matched side skirts and rear lip, round leather shiftknob, led spoiler, SH rims, ATTS light in dash & "stock" type SH sticker (non-rice)

p.s. the SH has better numbers on the lateral skidpad and it handles like a charm until the ATTS unit can't take the abuse.

97-98 SH has 195Hp, 99+ SH has 200Hp.. Same as the base prelude..
I dont know where you guys are getting your info from, but the SH and base have the same Hp, 97-98, 99+...

when can it not take the abuse? i havent heard much about these units failing? i know they are quite expensive to replace. and they have clutches in them so i figure theyll wear out one day...
what does it take to kill your atts?

the type SH cannot be turboed, the car detects a huge difference in the mass airflow and it shuts down ATTS... the jrsc however can be used if you want boost.

as for differences... all have been accounted for except for the courtesy door lights in the SH!

i know of several SH owners who have turboed their cars just fine. so you're not entirely correct on your first statement. an SH CAN be turboed. though it's not the best suggestion, it's definately an option. you can always disconnect the ATTS fuse. it'll be dead weight but if you have an SH already, you're not totally screwed when it comes to turboing your ride. but yeah, a base and FI go together better than FI and the SH. and i'd also suggest the JRSC for the type SH

when i bought my 2001 base, i figured why pay $3,000 more for atts that adds 80 lbs. and has trouble with turbos... shift ****'s gonna go cuz i like heavy *****, and no point in body colored side skirts and rear skirt cuz i'mma get a kit... rims are same size/same tires... just differnt style... its gonna go also when u get rims... this is how i made my decision, if you feel the same way, get the base. oh yea and when i get a wing, the damn stock spoiler will only cause more labor/money cuz of the holes...

oh yea... what's this i keep hearing about the 195 hp and 200 hp??? isn't that just the AUTO SPORTSHIFTS that lost 5 hp?????????? i'm 99.9% sure about this.

el_Presidente is right... i meant you cannot really keep atts with a turbo... but yeah, it is physically possible to turbo an SH... my bad.

FYI the ATTS unit weighs 40 pounds, not 80. The additional weight on the the SH is from other sources like the rear spoiler.

I don't remember the exact wording, but in my atts manual it said the type SH front suspension is designed so that the point where power is transfered from the axles to the wheels is exactly at the point where the wheels turn. As opposed to the base model where power is transfered slightly outward (or inward - can't remember) of the wheel turning points. Once again, I don't remember the exact wording, but thats the main idea.

too much torque from turbo will burn out the ATTS if you go higher than xPSI. slamming the vehicle will also mess it up after a while. there have been a complaint of ATTS error during auto-x.
