Default In desperate need of help

guys ive tried pretty much everything to start my car up since i just finished wtih my turbo build. keep in mind the car has been sitting in the garage for almost 5 months. i have spark, i have fuel, and i have air. when i go to crank it i get the sound that its trying to start i even hear the exhaust a little but then it just doesn't grasp. i have a 5th gen lude with the obd2 to obd1 conversion on it running a p28 with a basemap in it currently before it gets tuned. could it be that the ecu is bad? or maybe the harness? those are the only things i haven't checked yet. also my clutch has NO pressure at all. i never even touched the clutch when i was workin on the car and it just doesn't even do anything, just straight to the ground as soon as i push it. please help me out asap

If you truly have those then the car should start if the timing is good. Check for spark and fuel again...maybe pull some plugs and visually check for spark against the cylinder head.

Did you ever change/install the timing belt?

is the basemap made for boost? and are you boosting now? are you running larger injectors?

make sure the firing order from the distributor to engine wires are correct.. thats an easy mistake to make, then make sure all youre grounds are good.. IE make sure the MOTOR is grounded to the frame, thats another overlooked item

why not just test out your old ECU to see if it starts unless you have new injectors that will flood it? Triple check your firing order, check ground, inspect your plugs, make sure your battery has alot of charge

the basemap is made for boost. well its not an h22 base map its for the h23 which could be the issue but i doubt it. i have 440 cc injectors. im having a new chip basemap'd and put into the ecu today so after class im going to pick it up and see if thats the problem. if not im just going to have it towed to the shop doing the chip and have them deal with it. all the injector wires are correct, they are the right type of injectors, only thing i could think that would make it have this issue is the ecu... hopefully i get this fixed today...and to think i was supposed to have it dyno tuned today and last night when i go to start her, she doesn't start at all...this is gay

Did you do a compression test?

are you sure, the motor is grounded?? i know it sounds stupid, but you gotta make sure it is..

i had that exact same issue.. long time ago.. it cranked cranked did nothing, i had spark, fuel, timing was dead on..

turned out that i didnt put a ground wire from the powersteering bracket to the frame of the car, bc i was doing a wire tuck, so i was trying to get rid of wires..
when i added the wire from the powersteering bracket to the frame.. car fired right up.

car should be grounded due to the fact that i never disconnected any ground wires. im brining it in to the shop tomorrow to have them look at it. that way when they are done with the problem i can just get it tuned. normally i like to do things myself but i have no idea what the problem could be. like what matt said though i should probably check compression. that might be the issue..hope not

actually come to think of it. do you think an improper ground could cause it? i mean i dont know how stront a boost gauge is but i have it grounded to something with a little bit of paint on it. makes me think...

huh? im not talking about grounds to stuff you added to the car ie, boost gauge.. im talking about grounds from the block and head to the frame..

no i know i figured that but iwas just sayin thats the only thing ground wise that i added. otherwise i never removed or moved any grounds...maybe i hit one in the process and knocked it off? that could be a possibility. i still should really check for compression though...im hoping theres nothing wrong with that...

you said you check your injector wires, but have you check the spark plug wires from the dizzy (firing order as mentioned earlier).
