I own a 94 lude with digital dash, i want to change the stock color to red. I know how to change the time, temp, and gas gauge piece. I not sure yet how to change the speedometer and rpm meter part.
Any knowledge on the topic would be helpful.

for the EL gauge the only way i know is using the sheets of clear red acetate paper. I changed my gas and temps to blue using this method. There are a couple of writeups for this, hit me up and ill try to find them for you.
hey, ok we just got our first prelude last night, its a 93, the digital dash it kinda throwing us off, when we first cranked it, it was not showing any reading for the gas gauge, then we put 10 dollars worth in and it showed a reading, was this thing just slam out of gas or does it have to have so much in it to show a reading? thanks in advance

does anyone know where to find a diagram for how the main cluster is put together, without having to tear my own apart. It is my daily driver, and i'd like to have a foot on ground before i tear it out. Anything that will help would be great for a 4th generation. Thanks

As far as ur cluster goes....yes, if u put gas in it, and it gained a couple bars, it was just COMPLETELY out of gas. As long as the gas gains bars as u add fuel, and the temp goes up to halfway....it works fine.
About changing the color.........umm...seriously.... UNLESS you are really good with electronics and putting things back together I wouldn't bother
I destroyed my OEM EL cluster trying to do it. And messed up the RPMs on the JDM one I had installed from shaking it around trying to wrestle it back OUT of the dash to run wires.....thats just me tho
IF you do decide to do it....BE CAREFUL with the needles. When u get the needles off, there are 2 small phillips screws on each side of both needles that hold the gauge face onto the cluster. Behind the gauge face is a piece of clear plastic that spreads the glow from the "light source". There's 2 flourencent tubes that make the RPMs and Speedo numbers light up (what I just called "light source"). The only bulbs are for the high beams, blinkers, and SRS light.
I did mine red on the gas gauge, and temp gauge.... red digital gauges are in my future....
I got the red film/celophane/acetate from Party Supermarket, and it was like $5 for a whole roll.
