i had a small shift **** on my car, setup low, but i just got a new one that sits up higher (making the shifter longer in essence) and it's so much nicer to have that extra few cm of moment arm to get through the gears.

Dudes, you don't need to buy a die and all that crap. Do what I did and weld it. Cut out a piece in the middle and weld the two remaining pieces back together. It gives you a clean look and you can keep the threads and not have to worry about the stupid die. If you cannot weld, just find a local welder and he should do it for really cheap. Hope this advice helps

I did the same thing it took like 30 mins to do. I also got the short shifter adapter making it effective.

I've had mine cut pretty short for a while now and have nothing bad to say about it. It is aesthetically pleasing. I get into ludes with the stock heighth shifter and it seems wrong... all wrong.

Anyone who's going to be cutting and welding their shifter, PM me if you want a spare one to do it on. You don't want to screw up your only shifter, and this way you get less downtime.
