Anyone that have ever seen a stock air intake should know what that is.

Sorry I can't answer it but I always wondered too. Seems useless.

nice drawing,

maybe it's to collect oil coming from the valve cover via the "metal tube" on stock cars.

you know, the one that everyone removed and attached the breather filter do-hicky on to the valve cover.

anyways, that elephant tusk is detatchable. take it out to see how much oil you got...i had less that a table spoon of oil and gunk.

Turbulance? Maybe it has something to do with when you let go of the throttle and the TB closes and the air that is getting sucked in by the intake has no where to go so it gets pushed back toward the air filter....you get what im saying? Maybe it's to just get rid of the turbulance...

its for if little amounts of water that might get sucked in it should fall in there and slowly evaporate i think, or its a smaller resonator. i think its for water to condense in if any gets in the intake.. im not 100% ,, but i think im the only one in this thread that knows what your refering too

No it's not a blow off valve. I just said maybe it's somewhat acts like a blow off valve. I don't think my description was that BAD.
