crazy irratic idle

Default crazy irratic idle

ok guys i need help, i just got an act clutch and fidanza flywheel installed, slave cylinder, rear main seal... i start driving home from the shop and my ******* idle is going up and down and sounding like ****, its normal idle is 700, but now its like 1100-1400, going up and down up and down... and my check engine light keeps coming on and off.. wtf is going on?

Check you IACV and your vacum hoses.

Get that engine code before you jump to conclusions about the idle.

i have no engine codes but i still have this problem..the only thing is my check engine light is off ...

my check engine light comes on and off, at various times... and the surging/irratic idle isnt all the time either, its only occausionally... but my Warmed up idle is about 300 rpm higher than it should be.... either way, when the check engine light comes on again, im gonna read the codes... ill let you guys know what it says

You can read them anytime unless you erased them by unplugging the battery or back up fuse.

all is fixed, apparently one of the vacuum hoses was lose or unhooked, and my oil filter was loose too, heh.. i was leaking tons of oil.. those bastards!.. but all is well now

fast idle valve control right under the tb. plug the hole up and if it stops then replace the fivc
