Default Consequence of not using an EGR

I don't have an EGR, but only a sheet covering the location. My car has an IAC problem, and some people claim that the IAC problem will be solved once I install an EGR. Is this statement correct?

Thanks a lot

Thanks for the help James. I called the bastard guy three times today (last time at 8pm) He still doesn't have the wire diagram. I'm looking for the distributor wire diagram, it's my first priority.
