Default Computor chips///modules

Whats up.

I have a 97 prelude SH. I do the majority of my performance shopping at summitracing.com, as I'm sure many people do. Anyway, I came across this Venom 400 computor module, supposedly 4 wires to install. I'm looking for some info///advise on this chip, is it worth it? Will I noitice a diffrence in performance? What do you guys think?

You may want to branch off a bit from Summit (especially for an import) and definately forget about the Venom 400 module. No bueno....

Like Matt said, Hondata, Crome, Neptune, etc for basic tuning systems.

Every tuner I have ever spoken to, including Blake, will tell you that Neptune is the best of the best. AEM EMS is wonderful too. You get what you pay for. I don't like hondata for ethical reasons, and crome is so-so, not professionally managed, so you can see what could happen there.

Part?

lol

If you want a chipped ECU, which will have to be done on a OBD1 ECU, so you'll have to get a new one, you will lose function of you ATTS System..

Ahhh......well add an OBD1 conversion and ATTS removal to that list

Poor SH is not the easiest thing to make more power with.

Get a 5spd swap because the SH won't handle anything over 220-250whp.

Also, when you get a real EMS it will disable the ATTS system.

I like neptune because it isnt hondata....if you understand what i'm saying.

there really is no best. If you want to get down to it, hondata and neptune are petty programs compared to AEM, motec, Haltech, FAST...etc.

They both use honda coding to get the end result. NepTune has great customer service and isnt trying to fight the "little guy".

OK, I get it. Anything to keep from jumping on the Hondata bandwagon. I did read somewhere that Neptune was the only one that ran the H22 as good or better than stock. Thanks for the reply 98.
