Compretion Question!!!
Im running Je 10;1 pistons on a sleaved h22a. I have 500kms on the engine so far and i did a compretion test today and it scored 225psi. The engine was cold when i did the test. I found this a lil high. The reason im scared is because im running nitrous on this engine and you guys all know what nitrous and high comp engines =
Could it be maybe because the engine only has 500kms. i ran syn oil since day 1 in it (amsoil)

Compression (note spelling) tests are designed to tell you if something is wrong.
If you scored 225psi all across the board, then by all means, run your n2o. Thats a good reading for a 10:1 compression motor.

Those numbers are perfectly fine for 10:1 "compretion"
If the engine were warm you would have showed higher.
If you disconnected fuel you would have showed higher.

The numbers seem fine, but what makes you say high compression motors don't mix well w/ nitrous? I'll be soon running 11.1:1 comp. and spraying, hopefully up to a 75 shot, and I expect no problems. The only things I've heard w/ high comp. and N2O is to tune very carefully...other than that, high comp. and N2O give much better power.
i wouldn;t run highcomp pistons with nitrous anyways. Im running a 125shot so i didn;t want to go any higher then 10;1 and i didn;t want to go lower because my car would of been a snail without nitrous
