Default compression test,is it too low?

I have a 99 h22a motor rebuilt with sleeves,9:1 ross pistons and crower rods, the block has been rebuilt twice, recently again due to a spun bearing.
I haven't yet pushed the car since its been rebuilt, due to some electrical gremlins I've had.The new stuff has 3000 miles on it.I just figured out the electrical problems and am about to tune the car so I decided to do a compression test. After idling the car to bring it up to temperature it read 140,130,130,140.That seems low for a new motor I think ,please give me some feedback.I hope I'm not out another $3500 and this block can't be bored out anymore to do another rebuild.

the 9:1 pistons are probably the cause for that...
is it built for a turbo? cause it would have lower compression for that.
do a leakdown test and see what happens

yeah, it sounds a little low for even 9:1. do you have some long duration cams on there too? im guessing you know what u are doing with the compression test (all spark plugs removed, WOT when u crank it)

If at 10:1 compression is 185psi. I would believe you should be around 170psi. Try the compression test again and do what bluedlude said.

my f22a1 hit 140 140 140 140 the last time i did a compression test. thats all stock, 8.8:1 compression so that sounds about right for your motor.

Well the Helms says compression is to be at 185psi, and thats at 10:1 compression. So you should go celebrate

im bored, so ill defend myself. this is after I ran some sea foam in my oil and changed over to fresh. at the time i was using castrol syntec blend 10W30. since then ive switched over to full synthetic. by the way, you will read low compression if you are low on ail, so fill er up.

and this is what it will look like when you dont have it at WOT. rookie mistake.

I think I did a test again last time i changed my plugs and they were all at 200-205. but for ***** and giggles ill go give at least one a test tomorrow. just to see.

true it is a low compression motor so that might be the cause....i would do a leak down....it might be normal...as long as your over 120 its good....if its lower then that you might need to check it out.

dude i wasnt attacking you, hell the higher the better right? I was just telling him that the helms says. But there are many factors that could affect results. Unless you hit like 350psi...then problably someone stuffed your cylinders with tolet paper or something.
