I have a 98 Prelude auto (non sh) 140k miles
I know what you are all thinking....autotragic, anyway
Replaced all fluids at 132k miles when purchased car, and did fuel flush, and did engine clean with C-foam
Current setup:
AEM V2 short ram dry flow intake
NGK wires
Iridium 9 spark plugs
High flow 2" catalytic converter (replaced at 134k miles)
Nitto 455 street tires in front and Fuzion HRI's in the rear
Custom Straight pipe muffler weld with dual tip (came with when i bought the car) Losing torque???
On 10w30 regular oil, went from synthetic 0w30 to regular to save money, because my oil pan is stripped and leaks some oil. Is that bad (going from reg to synthetic to reg oil again??? Everyone tells me i'm an idiot and that my compression is off...
If that is the case, how can I restore compression after i go back to 5w30 synthetic next week without having to do a full rebuild which i know is gonna run well over 1g

switching back to dino is not bad, going back and forth multiple times, not so good. And the only way to see if there is a compression loss, is to do a compression test and see where you stand. Personally, I don't think there will be any major difference, if you did a before and after, I think the only difference would be caused by air temp and humidity.
just as mentioned earlier, you cant tell if you have lost compression by changing the oil. the only way to determine that is by doing a compression test.
on a side note I have a 98 lude as well with 220xxx miles on it my compression is 175 all across 4 cyclinders. and its an automatic as well. some things that have allowed me to have a fair engine at that mileage is full synthetic every 3k miles, and tranny fluid change change every 20k and transmission cooler.
but i suggest you do a compression test first and you sill see if you have lost compression.
