Cold Air Intake?
I live down here in Alabama....we get a pretty good amount of rainy weather, but not like really deep flooding(at least not anywhere I'd take the Prelude, thats what the trucks for
) You say that with normal driving in rainy conditions that you have no problem? Also.....what is involved in putting one of these things in? Does it require you to dod any other changes to make it work?

hmmm even in rainy weather as long as you're smart about it you should be cool.
Installing basically is just first pulling out the stock airbox, resonator and, tubing....(resonator can be a bitch and is easier if you take off your front bumper cause of certain screws). Then you have to widen the hole where your intake goes through (a good method is the make 2 cuts on the sides and then hammer it down, that way the bottleneck is rounded off and won't scratch your tube so much). Then you just have to install the new intake itself...

Thanks for being patient with me guys.....im kinda clueless about these type of cars still....mine's still stock
Why dont Spoon or Jun offer intake pipes?
Spoon offer a replacement panel filter....
If you take a look at the stock intake, you will realise that the intake is ALREADY positioned inside the wheel arch(on 4th Gen) in a vertical positon(for no water ingest). This feeds into the resonator box(to reduce noise) and then INSIDE the engine bay to the filter airbox.
Do not tamper with the factory air box, it is very cleverly designed. On part throttle, to increase torque , the intake pipe has one channel closed, but at WOT is uses a vacuum diaphram to open it up both channels fully! Spoon has a better description on there web pages.
Remove the restriction by replacing the paper filter with a good panel filter!
Job done!
Just my 2c worth!

i have to say amen to preludeboy, couldnt have said it better myself. i live i alabama too. i have had an AEM cold air intake for 2 years with no bypass valve. unless your planning on offroading through mud holes or driving up streets that are clearly flooded or trying to see if your car will float across a pond then dont worry about water in the motor. you still have the wheel well splash sheild intact. that blocks about 99.5% of the water, but if you do submerge your front end into a big puddle or lake or river then you might have a problem. but other than that your ok. i had a stock prelude at one point too, and i believe that intake is probably the best mod yet.
