If it was out of clutch fluid, you need to refill with dot 3 brake fluid and bleed the slave. That will fix your problem.

Don't change the slave cylinder.......just bleed it. If you ran out of fluid, the vehicle sucked in air......air in your lines will make it act like that.

ok get a friend to help
1.pedal all the way up
2.open bleeder
3.push down pedal, hold down
4. close bleeder
5. pedal all the way up
6.never let the fluid in the resivoir all the way down of else air gets in and you start all over again.
if the bleeder is open when you pull the pedal up, air gets sucked in.

That is a quote from StevoBA8 ......and yes that is the proper procedure.

Fill it, open bleeder, have a friend push down pedal, close bleeder, take foot off pedal, add fluid if required. Repeat as necessary

obviously your leaking clutch fluid. what i did was fill up the clutch fluid and jus pumped the clutch pedal. it begin to get better but still acting weird. so i looked under where my clutch pedal is and my clutch slave cylinder was leaking. changed that up. bleed the clutch with fresh clutch fluid and fixed my problem!
