Default Clutch Problem

I've got a 92 Honda Prelude with a 2001 h22a4 and my dad drove my car the other day and said he couldnt shift into 1st. I went to put my car in the garage today i thought it was fine he said ok lets go for a drive, i went to back it out and it wouldnt shift into reverse no grinds nothing just wouldnt go i fully disengauged the clutch while holding back and no grinds or anything. we put it on stands started it so he could look at it i was shifting gears just fine then i couldnt get in first or reverse then it was fine again.... anyone have any ideas of what this could be??
Thanks Ryan

Reverse can be kinda sticky im assuming you havent been driving standar for very long next time you cant get it into rev. try fully depressing the clutch then 1st and 2nd still with clutch in then it should slide into reverse. and my 1st is a little "sticky" too unless im going below 30km/h if there is a way to fix that it would be nice but its really more of an inconvienence

Ideas of what it could be: 1. air in system; needs bleeding. 2. master cyl or slave cyl bad. 3. clutch pressure plate fingers worn/damaged not allowing full release.

I have had this car since aug. of 07 and i understand where you are coming from with reverse being sticky along with first. I always found when going into first while moving if you burp the gas to raise the rpms it will go right in. I do that always while downshifting try and keep my tranny for a couple extra miles lol... I have purchased a slave cyl. because i noticed the one in it now is leaking and if its not that then i guess ill be lookin at the pressure plate...
Thanks to all who posted in regards to my problem
