I know this is REALLY hard for anyone to tell me how to fix, but, my climate control doesnt respond at all. no lights on it respond when i press say "feet only" or "head only".. although, it is backlit still.. it used to work before we did a lot of engine work.. story was the motor was pulled, and took 8 months to finally get it running.. it runs strong now, but, im having some eletrical issues.. ie my climate control problem..

what are the first things i should check so i can get this thing working.. its FREEEEEZING here in KC (about 15*f) and im without heat

Take your console out then remove your climate contorl and check the solders and plugs.
