well yes my check engine light is flashing what does that mean?
I check for codes and got them but why is my light flashing it is a 96 so it's a obd2
i connot remeber the code numbers but i belive that they were:
secondary 02 sensor
cylinder 3 missfire
ignition system malfunction
I belive does were it. I changed the 02sensor and checked for spark in cylinder 3
wich was good and check the injector plug fro a constant power and a negative pusle and eveything checked out fine but that cylinder still would not fire up i even changed the injector. I'm still runing in 3 cylinders and my ligth is still blinking
even after i reset the ecu. so those that blinking mean that my ECU is bad or is it telling me that there is really something wrong with my car?

 

flashing code is a misfire. either 71,72,73 or 74

 

Ok so do only thing left to do is check for a compression test on cylinder 3.
so know if it does come back with an average compression, what could be causing the missfire could it be the distribuitor that is malfunctioning?

 

first of all, get the code just to be certain as to what the ecu is faulting.

then pull you plugs and inspect them. U gotta start with the basics first.

 

well the codes were does 3 descriptions that i mentioned. and as far as the basics i did check i event changed the plugs wires and injector i also checked the injector harness for power and pulsating ground.

 

ignition problem before the spark hits the plug? you are throwing an ingnition error.

 

flashing like means "class A" error which means bad. like he said above possible missfire or other serious issue.

it needs serious attention now and you should avoid driving it.
